Verbs that are the same or similar.

Look at these sentences.  In each one a verb is underlined.  Use a thesaurus to find other verbs which are the same or similar to the verb in the sentence.  Write the sentence out two times putting in a different verb each time.

1.Every day I run to school because I am late.

2.My brother always takes my toys from me.

3.It is fun to throw a ball.

4.Yesterday I jumped over a fence.

5.In art we often paint pictures.

6.When it is icy I slide down the road.

7.On my birthday I get lots of presents.

8.I watch birds flying in the trees.

9.Mr. Lacey eats a lot of food.

10.Mrs Daniels likes to talk.
