Resources: sticky back plastic, coloured sticky paper, tissue paper, sketch
paper
What to do:
a) cut out enough rectangles of sticky back plastic for the kids in your
class.Stick these rectangles down , sticky side up in front of the
children. Put sellotape at each corner to secure it.
b) have tissue paper cut up and ready together with sticky coloured squares
c) Ask your class to draw a landscape design. Concentrate on simple
designs (link with modern simplistic designs in art or architecture, stained
glass windows etc.)
d)Transfer the design in tissue or coloured paper onto the sticky back
plastic. The children TEAR the paper, and stick it lightly onto the sticky
back plastic. (THE COLOURED SIDE MUST BE FACE DOWN)
e)They can check how their design is progressing by looking at the underside
of the plastic.
f) Once the pictures are completed (depending on the ability of the child this
will vary in the length of time ) STICK THE PICTURES ONTO YOUR WINDOWS. The
effect is glorious.the light illuminates the pictures. They don't fall off
the windows because of the sticky plastic.
Enjoy!"
