Tudor Costumes

contributed by GemH

Gem writes: "This is a great way to round up an investigation into Tudor clothing or Tudor Monarchs.  Take individual pictures of all the children in your class using a digidtal camera, they need to look very regal and stoney faced, as Tudor Monarchs did in old portraits.  Print out their pictures and cut out the head and neck only, and stick it on to A4 black card/paper.  The children then create their own Tudor Monarch costume with collage materials.  The kids really enjoyed this activity and were so much more keen to investigate Tudor Monarchs and their clothing because of the art activity at the end.  The results were fantastic too, and looked great on display."
