'Say it...'
idea contributed by Sarah Elwood

Sarah writes: 'Here is an idea that I use when teaching my class new French vocabulary (although it will work in any language). After asking children to repeat any new vocabulary we then say it in different ways so that they don't get bored. Some ideas that we have come up with is singing the words in an operatic style, shouting the words, saying them in a "posh" voice or a French accent. A particularly effective way is to stage whisper the words as this will help them with pronunciation. The children love the different ways of saying vocabulary and are constantly coming up with new ideas.'
